It really depends on stuff we need to learn more about from epidemiologists! Even coarse cell tower data might be useful in suburbs and rural areas, to at least create a rough list of contacts that health workers could follow up on. Same goes for identifying contagion hot spots

But there's a lot of motivated reasoning pretending such coarse data won't work, not even a little bit, by people who just don't like the privacy implications.
