I read this article and I'm more confused than ever. Has anyone articulated a reason (apart from physical cowardice) that Congress suspended all work and sent itself home during the worst crisis of the past 50 years?https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/sidelined-by-coronavirus-pandemic-congress-cedes-stage-and-authority-to-trump/2020/04/11/0365cebe-7b43-11ea-9bee-c5bf9d2e3288_story.html …

They need to do both. But they should have changed the damn rules last month.

It's totally reasonable for them not to physically gather during this crisis. In fact, preventing the gathering of congress models good behavior for the rest of us. But their job is one that could be done remotely.

It's absolutely criminal that both Pelosi and McConnell didn't get remote voting put in place before Congress recessed. Both have absolute failed their leadership tests because of the lack of remote voting.
