It's a thankless political message to send, but someone needs to do it. The strategy of sitting back to see what Trump does, in the hopes that it comes back to bite him, is deeply irresponsible.

Someone needs to be honest with the people at highest risk that their lives are not going to go back to normal in May, or June, or September. This includes the elderly, those with certain medical conditions, and a large portion of black America—it's not a small group of people!

A moment is coming when someone in authority will have to stand up and give diametrically opposite advice than the President. Trump will say something like "it's over, let's have a big parade" and someone will need to counter it. That someone will not spring forth from the ground

Pinboard @PinboardAs a San Franciscan, I get to do what millions of Americans only dream of doing—cast a vote against Nancy Pelosi. (Of course, I can't actually vote Remmer for her anti-immigrant stance. And California won't let me write anyone in. But I can petulantly cross out Pelosi's name) pic.twitter.com/luzH8YhO4PShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 5 likes -
For which I’m genuinely grateful and I hope it’s coming through on these tweets that I feel bad for accidentally dragging you.
