lines in TX and CA were hours long. is there an amount of time people would need to wait in line to vote beyond which you’d no longer consider the election free?
-
California has vote by mail for everyone who wants it. American Federal elections don't live up to the ideal, and we should make them better, but they are certainly free and fair by any rational standard.

many incarcerated people have lost their right to vote. is there a percentage of the population behind bars above which you’d no longer consider the election fair?

most of us must vote on tuesdays, which are normal working days, during working hours. is there a number of hours a a polling place would need to be open below which you would no longer consider the election free?

I think of it like a ship. You can point to holes in the side, the fact that water is pouring in, and all of that is correct and also consistent with the idea that the ship floats. I think American elections are deeply flawed, need fixing, but also fundamentally free and fair.
