I heard a good discussion on the mutation topic. Basically the more mortality from the virus the less chance it can spread. Coronavirus spread depends on asymptomatics & long incubation periods. Of course if it had an extremely long incubation period and high mortality. Maybe...

I mean, when i was playing the Pandemic flash game, you pretty quickly realized that the easy win was a completely asymptomatic airborne disease where you only bought the pulmonary damage perk after everyone was already infected.
