God forbid journalists writing different articles in different situation and after experts and officials changed their recommendations.

Yglesias was buying masks for personal use while Vox was publishing articles telling people not to do it. The recommendations didn't start changing until late March. Look at the dates.

A I missed that part. But still that's only one person, not the entire newsroom. I don't think it's fair to use that to try to discredit the work of Vox as a whole.

Yes this is an actually ridiculous and dishonest way to frame this

Let's hear from Vox journalists about how many bought face masks!

Not to be too pedantic but if you're unsure that more than one did then you really shouldn't have made your original tweet in the first place. But sure, asking for confirmation is good.

Do I really need a quorum to point out public hypocrisy?

You claim "journalists". Your post would certainly be much more defensible if you made it specifically about Matt Yglesias. But that would still be weird since he didn't write any of those articles.

He's the co-founder of the site

Does that make him... more than one journalist?

Please feel free to edit the tweet down to your more exacting specifications. I am happy to put my career on the line and wager that Yglesias was not the only person at Vox to buy face masks in February

I wouldn't make the tweet at all but I guess if I were going to it would be something like: "Matt is a hypocrite because he bought masks while writers at the website he co-founded were suggesting against it. I bet he was not alone!"
