A lot of the strategic planning around social distancing measures is the equivalent of a diet where you eat steamed veggies for three months, then for a week you can eat deep-fried bacon birthday cake, and then you're supposed to go back to the steamed veggies. It is not human.

Yes, but it would be a great system if human nature wasn't what it was. Seriously, though, I think some version of it will be what we have to implement. I think those second and third peaks will just be...much higher than that image because of...us.
