I'm torn. On the one hand, I love these takedowns. On the other hand, why are our epidemiologists forced to waste their time fixing political journalism, or rebutting "well, actually" threads on evolutionary biology, or having to beg for resources and basic political leadership?

The whole idea the US could test its way out of this if not for the evil Trump administration is a creation of the political press though. There aren't enough reagents or swabs or nurses to take samples or testing machines on the planet, generally by several orders of magnitude.
