We couldn't resume our normal lives because the virus would start to spread again in the same uncontrolled way.

You’re suggesting that we won’t have enough testing in swabs to isolate cases in a month or two? When every biotech company I know is feverishly working on this?

Here I'll defer to people with expertise as to whether widespread testing and case isolation is enough for life to go back to normal
