I’m pretty worried that there’s a good chance that Japan is actually fucked. Sure they took some nationwide measures but it seems like public sense of urgency is v low and many people are convinced that some magic property of being Japanese will protect them.

On the flip side, once Japan gets serious about stuff they tend to pull out all the stops. I am hopeful they will switch to a more robust response soon, before many more people can get sick here
