Even if you are an unusually fit over-70, we have no data on whether that helps - and you may well be overestimating the state of your own health. It's not because you're less valued. It's *exactly because* you're valued that we don't want you to die.

It's also possible that the reason older people get sick at a higher rate than the young is that their immune systems have prior experience with similar pathogens, and react strongly. In that case, an exceptionally fit older person might be even worse off. We just don't know.

The spanish flu preferentially killed the young and fit in part because it provoked a crippling immune response. Telling a cohort they are statistically at risk does not necessarily imply they are weak or frail
