There's going to be a weird moment when people who have recovered from coronavirus will be urged to eat at six restaurants a night in different cities to support the economy, traveling by air and cruise ship, while we beg everyone not yet infected to remain home on lockdown.

You MUST remain in self-quarantine in order to save lives and flatten the curve, unless you have already been sick and recovered, in which case it is now a felony to remain home or be online on a Friday night, and roving stimulus teams will be searching for violators door to door

Wait hold up, the idea that we hit an stable equilibrium of havers and nots and stick with a permanent bifurcated city is actually an *incredible* conceit for some sci-fi. Maybe we can get an anthology of people stuck inside writing short stories about it

Imagine a disease that's like 95% fatal. Giant die-off, society rebuilds,..but what about the people who happened to avoid exposure? Would you live in seclusion forever as society moves on around you? Go out for only ultra-special occasions? Roll those 5% dice in frustration?

When the #WuhanCoronavirusOutbreak is finally contained, we’ll look out the window and see a much changed world... ...and we will wonder when will the next outbreak come.

This seems to be what the UK is trying to get to as quickly as possible. (I'm not nearly expert enough to know whether that's a sensible approach; it may be a complete train-wreck.)

Yeah, if we achieve stable low transmission, then we'll have some very weird social dynamics around three classes of people: those who have had it, those who haven't, and those who don't know if they've had it.
