Yes. Conceptually almost certainly the right model. But not trivial to just scaled up at the last minute if you're not geared up already. (It's the last minute).

It seems like there is room for social distancing measures and disinfection measures that can be done at physical polling places to reduce risk to voters. I'd be curious to hear about that from real experts

I don't like the way Coloradans get two ballots (R and D) in the primary, and if you return both, you're disqualified. It seems like a recipe for confusion

Indiana requires county purchased equipment be validated by state agency which takes months. Not to mention that building the equipment to process the ballots would take several months as well. (Worked at a place that builds one of the giant machines needed to process votes)
