Quite remarkable to think that a lot of Sanders' appeal to white voters without a degree in 2016 may have just been dislike of Clinton.https://twitter.com/Nate_Cohn/status/1237530249404932096 …

The middle can’t win. Especially against an authoritarian.

But the left can't even beat the middle

She was liked just fine all the way up to when she ran for President. Popular senator, popular Secretary of State...

I have two questions for you: 1) Do you see Biden as having more talent for campaigning? 2) If you believe centrism has a winning national coalition behind it, do you believe the wide dislike for Clinton fully explains how Trump, an extremist, won?
-
1) It depends on your definition. I think Bernie is much better at making speeches and debating, but bad at managing his operation. 2) The hard thing about a close election like 2016 is that *every* reason is a reason Trump won. That said, I think Clinton was a weak candidate

or voters are still crazy misogynistic

It is one of the paradoxes of public life that campaigning and actually running the government are decidedly different skills. Most candidates would simply not be good at both. :-(
