I don't agree with this analysis. I believe (stealing ideas from @zeynep here) that Bernie attracted a movement due to his steadfastness. In an environment where people don't trust politicians at all, his constancy was the next best thing to trust. {very quiet voice} I also have long thought Warren’s passion and readiness to tackle issues wherever she sees them (and certain other qualities) occasionally result in her making random boneheaded dumb calls on specific topics. Bernie stays in his lane, and doesn’t risk that.

I admire her willingness to boldly draw up plans and launch attacks and then adjust when their flaws are pointed out, but it exposes you to putting flawed plans and attacks out there for everyone to see.
