Doesn't the degree of coronapanic seem a little disproportionate to its severity? Maybe it's just inherently difficult to tell people to be scared, but not very scared?

It's because we've all played Plague Inc and know that "fast, worldwide spread with benign symptoms" means it's just biding it's time, grinding DNA points before it finally purchases Insanity and Intestinal Hemorrhaging and goes for the global kill.
