A President Biden would take a lot of naps, bring us back into the Paris climate accords, and nominate qualified, non-radical judges to the Federal bench and Supreme Court. That is 1000x better than what we have right now! It's going to be okay!

We got transformative health care reform and two supreme court justices. Your cynical take on this is unwarranted.

What makes you think Biden won't also have to work with a hostile senate? What makes you think there won't be 2022 midterm backlash against Biden?

I feel like the past few years should suggest some humility about knowing which outcome is better.

This is so apt. I bet the real partisan divide in america is between people who think Amtrak sucks, but it’s still better than driving or flying... and people who think Amtrak sucks, and they’d rather drive, because then they can pretend they’re in control of something.

I'm all in for a democratic senate + house being more important than who is in the white house... but I genuinely don't understand why everyone is counting Bernie out? Like isn't he 100 (at most) delegates behind in a 2000+ delegate race (of which over 1000 have yet to be won?)
-
You are correct; there is no reason to count Bernie out and it will likely be a competitive primary. The big thing that's changed is that his best states are behind him now, but Fate stomps hard on people who try to make predictions about anything in politics.
