There is actually another branch of government with some say in health care and taxation, and I implore people to pay more attention to it.

You don't have to get 12-D chess to understand the reason the Senate is the most important election this year. A bare Senate majority gives us the power to fill Supreme Court vacancies, and a minority does not. It's as simple as that.

also, a lot of people don't realize the president doesn't write legislation. Even if the Dems win the house and Senate, there's no guarantee they will pas legislation that Sanders wants

If the Democrats are lucky enough to take the Senate they will need the votes of Sinema & Manchin to pass anything, so nothing leftist is going to pass.

Again, you assume that "any democrat" is secretly for the same things that Bernie is for but ape-ing centrist language to "win". My guess is, if you have a democratic senate with a non-Bernie you will get: cuts to social security, medicare, and medicaid as part of "grand bargain"
