A lot of talk about the "Democratic establishment" is imagining in its mind smoke-filled rooms of rich white men, but in reality talking about black people. I don't think people do it intentionally, but it's harmful and we are not 15 years old, to be blaming "the establishment"

Rep. Clyburn is about as establishment figure as you get in American politics, but he's seen some shit, and his opinions about the acquisition, exercise, and maintenance of political power should not be dismissed out of hand, as they were hard-won.

So I would urge people to be more specific about who they are calling out when they blame the "Democratic establishment". That blanket term covers, and demonizes, some people you probably aren't thinking about when you use it.
