It's Friday night! After a long week of political drama, send some money to the Great Slate! It's not glamorous or dramatic, but it lays precious campaign groundwork in four rural House districts of states where we absolutely need a Senate win in November.https://secure.actblue.com/donate/great_slate …

How does supporting rural house districts help flip the senate?

These house races have the experienced field teams for turnout, and they're the ones actively trying to register voters right now. They also complement the Senate strategy, which is focused almost entirely on suburban and city voters. Basically, a way to add a few thousand votes.

So are field operations for turnout different than the field operations that the Great Slate funded in 2018?

Yeah—the focus in 2018 was early field, including in primaries, which didn't end up being effective even when very competently run. The focus this year is field for turnout, not persuasion—getting college students out of bed to go to the polls like they promised, for example

A lot of effort, too, into Latino outreach—getting people registered in those underrepresented communities in cities like Pueblo or Sioux City, and then getting them to vote.
