I have an honest question for my pro-Bernie followers, to help my understanding. Assuming a bare Senate majority (50-50) and control of the House, what would be the practical difference between having a President Klobuchar or Biden and a President Sanders in office in 2021?

Klobuchar would begin negotiation with Republican Senators at the point of their stated policy goals. Sanders may be unable pass his agenda, but at least he would be constantly on the attack. I would rather give the bully pulpit to an advocate who will actually use it.

I understand the sentiment, but you're accepting that he wouldn't be able to pass any of his major legislation?

If I favor a particular legislative agenda, should I support a nominee who opposes it, or one who supports it but might fail?

I would turn the question around and say, is it better to get part of your agenda through, or none?
