The obsession with the DNC as a locus of great power reminds me of attempts to make ACORN sound like COBRA back in 2008. Everybody wants a devil to paint horns on, but the political reality is that US parties are getting weaker, not stronger, hence their capture by outsidershttps://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1229457736754171904 …

The truth political insiders know is that the biggest threat to Bernie's candidacy is his incredibly disorganized campaign operation. Moreover, it is far better to have Sanders win clear victories, demonstrating his power to draw votes, than to have a series of Iowa-like results

If Sanders really is an unstoppable juggernaut, then that will likely calm more nerves than it frays in the centers of power. The scenario people actually fear is that he is a popular factional candidate who will Corbyn us into oblivion in November

But the Sanders supporters don't see that reality. A lot of them see all of these establishment conspiracies lined up against them (some of them imagined). And the truth is more mundane. A lot of discomfort about Sanders is more electoral than philosophical.

This is exactly right. The Reptilian Council that secretly controls the Democratic Party would like to see Bernie defeated because they think he's unelectable, not because they're afraid of what he'd do in power
