If Sanders really is an unstoppable juggernaut, then that will likely calm more nerves than it frays in the centers of power. The scenario people actually fear is that he is a popular factional candidate who will Corbyn us into oblivion in November

As a Brit, the idea the DNC is super powerful is pretty odd considering that here, parties decide who is and isn’t a member, determine who can and cannot be a candidate, and explicitly enforce voting in Parliament by kicking MPs out if they don’t vote how they’re told to.
