Yes, but not on education level. You can do it with an illiterate, uneducated population (who may be very smart and have all kinds of domain knowledge!). That seems to be the thrust of the argument here; the longer video would tell us.

He does explicitly mention that farming takes up about 2% of jobs *today*. It's not a leap to conclude that he thinks that of not just preindustrial, but modern farming as well.
