An interesting twist on this story is that Antarctica has a far more complicated coupling to climate than the Arctic. For example, warming seems to lead to more Antarctic sea ice production. The ozone hole (remember that?) also had a significant impact on Antarctic climate. There's no question that climate change affects the place, but it is complicated in a way the story in the Arctic is not. Truly it is the hipster polar region
