I have a hunch crowd sizes might be predictive of overperformance in caucuses. If you excite people enough to attend to rallies you can convince them to attend the caucuses too.

In Iowa, Bernie had 10x the event turnout as everyone else, but it didn't really affect caucus attendance.

I'm sure he's a wonderful guy. My point is his 10x event attendance numbers were not reflected in the tied outcome and fairly low turnout
