Bloomberg has spent over $200M on his vanity presidential run. So has Steyer. Yang has spent $32M. Our challenge as tech workers is to try to put a small fraction of that to work in hard but winnable districts, over time. Show me anyone in 2016 who thought IA-4 could be winnable

The problem in politics is the same one as in our society—the money concentrates at the top, where there is so much of it that it's spent on frippery. The Great Slate races may not win, but I know in those districts not a penny of that money will be wasted.

I think back on how Iowa state house candidate Deb Jensen (pictured here with her campaign team) put it to me. "If not now, when?" When will we have another chance to put rural Iowa or *Alaska* in play? It's a good year to be bold, not just at the top of the ticket.pic.twitter.com/QGXhEpvnQl

Also, you should give some money to Deb Jensen. How can you not give money to Deb Jensen? A wonderful retired nurse running for state House, also in Steve King's district. Look at that computer font! We gotta help her out. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/debjensen?fbclid=IwAR1tkIOt8DbX5-icEsQYAIVkEtM6MWH9IrSQNgwANuc8QK6NBRxFtv2p-IM …pic.twitter.com/rSyuEuV8zA

As a member of your ‘18 Great Slate, I want to express my gratitude for every penny your peeps contributed to my campaign - which totaled $225,000! I didn’t win but your help was priceless. Every donation mattered!
