This is very real, but the problem is that the first set of desires is based on a combination of nostalgia for a past with massive repression of Black people plus ordinary people's deeply confused ideas about public policy.

I’m a lawyer, by definition I want a return to bipartisan norms, functioning procedure, etc. If you can explain to me how steps to get it aren’t functionally unilaterally surrendering power to people who don’t, please do.

Also gentle reminder that most of these folks had NO PROBLEM with the total obstructionism of the R Senate under Obama, to the point of stealing a vital Court seat, so you may not want to take them entirely at their word.
