I will be curious to know what purple state Democrats think of the gesture, and whether it helps or hinders their cause. I know not many people on here like them, but they are the section of the party most in touch with Trump voters.

The Republicans tried to tie a number of candidates to Pelosi in ads during the 2018 midterms and it was ineffective. She's not running and I don't think the Trump base needs something to be fired up about.
