I saw Amy Klobuchar speak at an event today and came away impressed. She has a lot to offer: wins elections, including in red districts, is a tough midwestern woman, has experience, is highly intelligent, and isn't 78. Why are Very Online people not into her?

She didn’t get cancelled, whatever that means - she’s still a pretty prominent senator and has upped her profile considerably. But insofar as the primaries are in part a popularity contest, it probably has hurt her presidential aspirations. Which is good, I think?

LBJ rigged elections. He wasn't just crude--everyone talks about how he pooped in front of his aids--he was a threat to democracy (in, admittedly, a state where that was normal). Good policies don't justify antidemocratic tendencies, do they?
