I saw Amy Klobuchar speak at an event today and came away impressed. She has a lot to offer: wins elections, including in red districts, is a tough midwestern woman, has experience, is highly intelligent, and isn't 78. Why are Very Online people not into her?

This was also the Hillary riff: “I heard she was mean to the Secret Service.”

She's not up to the task of leading the nation toward a sustainable future because she fundamentally underestimates the depth and scope of most problems. Tweaks won't solve healthcare. Income tax rate adjustmsnt won't address wealth inequality. Climate change timidity, and so on.

Most people under 40 are just plain sick of being told that they need to compromise on policy in order to gain power by people who continually lose power, and promise to not use it when they do get it. Follow

You're asking why we're not enthusiastic. There were 18 (20?) candidates to choose from. No, I'm not enthusiastic about her.

Having "throws objects at employees" be a deal breaker even for a candidate you're ideologically aligned with seems like a healthy stance for voters to take.

Lol. I'm ok with her, with one ideological beef (which I haven't heard her discuss). Wolves. Not great record on protecting wolves and other threatened animals. Favors guys with guns culling them. Or used to
