I saw Amy Klobuchar speak at an event today and came away impressed. She has a lot to offer: wins elections, including in red districts, is a tough midwestern woman, has experience, is highly intelligent, and isn't 78. Why are Very Online people not into her?

That’s frequently very much how she comes across. Obama figured out how to deal with this - sound left but keep it vague. I’m baffled why this crop of mods hasn’t figured it out.

She spent literally *every* debate scorning EW and BS, saying things like “I believe in policies, not pipe dreams.” That’s an actively destructive message to be sending an American public desperate for systemic reform. Combine that w/her apparently awful character, & why bother?

Also it is beyond time for real criminal justice/ drug war reform in this country, and I’m very, very skeptical a 90s-esque tough-on-crime former prosecutor is the person who’s going to make those changes
