Maybe I'm obtuse, but I don't get this. They could have called all these witnesses and documents in the House. The appeals process in the Senate would be just as lengthy (despite what some people have said here about Roberts being able to rule instantly). I respect Speaker Pelosi and think she's a skilled politician, so there must be some reason this investigation was thrown into the Senate unfinished. But I don't understand it.
