Look, I get it, they're adorable, but they made the world's most flammable trees their sole source of nutrition. The whole survival strategy of eucalyptus is to burn down everything around it. If evolution worked a bit faster, we'd see a whole raft of species following the koala/panda strategy and evolving to be more appealing to human beings in order to survive. The world would be full of adorable Disney insects, fish and birds freeloading off of our brain wiring.pic.twitter.com/HhS2UtSbTm

You'd also see the flip side, like species that live under beds and grab your exposed feet during the night unless you propitiate them with nightly gifts of food. The biosphere would arrange itself around the likes and phobias of the only species with the power to grant survivalpic.twitter.com/FcW6gHSlaT
