I know people don't want a boomer president, but the way to fix that is not by electing someone born before World War II* (* US edition)

True, but he can finish a sentence without losing his train of thought, which is more than you can say for Biden.

He is a great guy and I wish him well. I just think that there are certain jobs, like president or airline pilot, that need younger people.

We see it. We wish it hadn't taken this long for America to be ready for him. But it did and he's the best person for the job, so there you have it. He needs to pick a good vp (hopefully Warren) and that takes care of that. Looking forward to Medicare for All!

Warren is 70.

True, but he does come across as more mentally "there" than Trump and possibly Biden. That said, I would be happier if the Dem field weren't dominated by septugenarians and Buttigieg.

It would be better in the long term if Bernie was the nominee and keeled over the day after inauguration than if Buttigieg was the nominee.

True, but I think most of us are worried about what cognitive issues might develop over the next 9 years or so. My grandpa was sharp as a tack at 82, and convinced his assisted living facility was a sham run by undercover kidnappers at 84.

If there was 47 yo Bernie I would love to vote for them. But since there isn’t I’ll take the guy with the best policies, best understanding of grassroots organizing and greatest ability to expand the electorate and beat Trump even though his age is less than ideal.
