Not directly, but friends. They will make a difference in the tick population, quickly. Noisy like you would not believe. Not sure if possums are native to Maine, but they also attack ticks like it is their job.

People say they're a good alarm system because they squawk at intruders, but in reality they NEVER STOP with the terrible terrible noises. Personality-wise, maybe slightly more skittish than chickens on average.

It's coastal downeast maine, so everything except moose wanders around freely
