In other words, vote for whomever you like in your local primary, and the likelihood is whatever warm body we put up will be narrowly defeated in the electoral college while winning the popular vote.

I don't know what to think, other than it will be a tough election! But I am pretty persuaded that ideological differences between the Democratic candidates don't matter much, for all the attention they naturally get in a primary.
