Keeping unique, distinct passwords on a piece of paper is a great idea, and more people should do it instead of re-using the same password or password pattern across sites. I feel like there is a high correlation between people who write down their passwords / people who reuse passwords as often as possible / people who type slowly? The benefit of a digitized system like

My own experience is that people who re-use their passwords are the ones who don't write them down, which is why I find this Google tactic so irksome
