Kind of have to agree with Trump that San Francisco would benefit from more Federal attention. We need an ambitious regional infrastructure plan, and a way to override local zoning boards. We could use a representative who has time for the district, and two full-time senators

Right now San Francisco's federal representation is the Speaker of the House, who is necessarily focused on national issues, one Senator who wasted the last year on a vanity Presidential campaign, and another who is three hundred fifty years old

I don't think speaker Pelosi should put on a MAGA hat, but this is an chance to twist a Presidential insult into a policy initiative. The fact that the Bay Area has the wealthiest industry on earth but fixing our infrastructure is not even within the Overton window drives me nuts

or people can move to Texas or Vegas or any place for that matter that isn’t dominated by NIMBY-ism. Very few people *have* to be in Northern California

Northern California is a nice place to live, and we have room for so many more people. I'd rather find a way to break the back of NIMBYism than surrender to it.
