They're oversold by eight seats! Next year they should run an A380 on this route with video poker right in the headrests

Are you sure it wouldn't be a must-get-out-of-Seattle-on-Christmas story?

I have family that lives in both the Las Vegas area and the Seattle area. If anyone was trying to get to their family around Vegas, then I'd understand.
-
I still can't internalize the fact that huge numbers of people actually live in Vegas (though I know it was the fastest-growing city for a while)

Somebody could negotiate a massive voucher to give up their seat in such a situation. I’d start by asking for AT LEAST a $2,500 voucher, hotel stay, and meals.
-
Oh nvm…8 seats? Make that at least $5k.

Maybe they're just savvy & are waiting on the higher involuntary bump compensation? https://www.transportation.gov/individuals/aviation-consumer-protection/bumping-oversales …pic.twitter.com/wi7LGQLjNM

Delta has a very strong preference against involuntary denial of boarding. They’ll keep upping if there’s any chance of getting volunteers.

I feel like at this point people have learned that if you say no to 'volunteering' they'll have to pay you more when they actually bump you
