How can you have a class interest that's fewer than 600 people? This veers dangerously close to individualism.

For me, a class is determined by a shared set of opportunities and goals that make a clear delineation between the group and the rest of society. It seems obvious that the ultra rich in the U.S fit the definition of a class. We should call them oligarchs.

Size is not a defining feature of a class. You might naturally assume that a class of <600 out of >300mm couldn't possibly warrant attention, but only if ignorant of the power of money in US politics. Also, as has been pointed out, the individual maximum is not the point.
