My personal hell is Terry Gross interviewing Charlie Rose, and vice versa, forever.

For real, this has been a thing. It took me a while to realize it, because she has such a nice voice and great guests. But the worst sin an interviewer can commit is interrupting the guest when they are on a roll and she does it endlessly. She's a great cocktail party host.
-
She often makes it clear she doesn't get what her guests are saying while superficially engaging like she does. Like laughing at a joke and then revealing she doesn't understand it. And except where she was already interested in the subjects around the guest, does no research.

Not only will I not fight you, but I will join you in combat. However, Dave Davies is excellent.

I haven’t heard much. I did like her takedown of gene simmons though

Thank you! Sometimes she just goes on and on in her questions, basically answering them first.

I've listened to her since the 70s. There was a time when she was the best in the biz, but no, I wouldn't fight you anytime the last decade or two.

She's very bad when interviewing someone she either disagrees with or fawns over. . . In between she's OK.
-
Yeah, so she's at her best at her most insipid. True NPR that.

I think it's ok if we get new nation-wide interview people, once every.... thirty? years?
