Far from an exhaustive list, but here's what I've learned from this election. - Polls being wrong before doesn't mean they're wrong all the time - A wonderful, dedicated, committed and brilliant activist base is no substitute for political strategy. But we musn't jettison it.

- There were lots of good reasons to shift to a 2nd ref position. A lack of strategy of how to shore up the Leave vote proved fatal. - It is possible for progressive parties to span young and old, town and city. But Labour must learn from other countries how to do it.
