This is wrong. So many of these people were first-timers, coming in through groups like Indivisible. Another thing that hurt was the implosion of the Women's March. And finally, the fact that Trump didn't immediately nuke half the world and tank the economy also had an impact. People get used to stuff, and that removed urgency (and discredited a lot of us cassandras)

I would love to read something good about it too. So far what I've found has been more about personalities and blow-by-blow than a deeper analysis of why finding a lasting form for this popular movement was so hard.
