Back in the day (90's) there used to be a permanent little sit-in protest outside the White House. Does anyone remember this? I think it was on the national debt. They were a fixture in D.C.

Ah, it was the White House Peace Vigil! (thanks

I think people have (maybe rightly) given up on Republicans having any principles, so it's been considered a given that they will not bow to public pressure because they simply do not care
-
Of course they have principles, they're just different principles. They all think they're taking the principled stand and we're the bad guys here.

That is literally what http://indivisible.org does. Why do you say it isn’t happening? (Not affiliated with them, just blown away that you don’t see it. )
-
I'm familiar with indivisible from 2017 but had the impression they'd fizzled out. What are they up to?

There’s pretty much always at least one dude with an impeach sign outside the White House. During any time of any administration. Georgia is a red state: https://www.wabe.org/trump-rally-in-downtown-atlanta-draws-hundreds-of-protesters/ … Many of these 472 rallies are in states with GOP senators: https://www.impeach.org/event/impeach-and-remove-attend/search/?source=standupamerica-i&s=0 …
