American history twitter: has there been any example in the United States of authorities using live fire against political demonstrators since the Jackson State killings in 1970?
It is horrible, and on top of that the fact that everyone knows Kent State but not many people know this

There were two standards for civil unrest in the United States at the time. At Kent State, the deceased were white college students who were shot by soldiers during a protest. It was uniquely shocking to mainstream media.
