Hong Kong's struggle for democracy is not a separatist movement, nor an independence movement (except at the fringes) but it has unmistakably now become a nationalist movement.

Yes I agree. I’ve hated the term “Hong Konger” for as long as I can remember, preferring “people of Hong Kong”. But since June, I’ve learned to embrace it and finally feel comfortable identifying with it.
