      Kind of a fun phenomenon when technologies get objectively worse with time (something we're not used to!) is that it's synergistic with old person nostalgia. Young people assume it's 100% the latter, reducing the chance the better technology experience can ever be brought back

      Ok, I was giving you a hard time about this but you're 100% right about a lot of stuff. The problem of course is that things don't get universally worse. The laptops are wildly better in many ways, but I really liked being able to swap out batteries, you know?
