Kind of a fun phenomenon when technologies get objectively worse with time (something we're not used to!) is that it's synergistic with old person nostalgia. Young people assume it's 100% the latter, reducing the chance the better technology experience can ever be brought back

Yes yes. I agree that everything was objectively best in 1995 which is coincidentally when I was a very young adult and everything didn't hurt all the time and I still had hope.

I don’t get why people are complaining about having a bunch of different services. There are way more shows available now. Pick the service(s) you like and don’t pay for all of them. No way to watch all the content available. There are currently over 500 active series.
