The guy could call the Ukrainian president on live TV from the Senate floor demanding another quid pro quo, and enjoy a ~40% level of support nationally, with 95% approval from Republicans. It's weird but it's our country now.

I don't mean to be a nihilist about it. I think building an evidentiary record is important and even sympathize with the people who believe in impeachment on principle. But all the hard work is still ahead, and it's going to be really difficult to dislodge the guy

I think anyone who doesn’t think it’s possible is a moron. But I also think that a win with a 70,000 edge across three states should have been enough of a lesson for all of us to stop looking at nation-wide numbers and thinking we can predict anything from them.

Agreed. Compounding that problem is the fact that the election will probably be determined by stuff that happens in October 2020.
